My Project Role
Competitive Analysis and User Research
Analyzed competitor career sites, studied job seeker needs, and identified what information, structure, and content would help the target audience understand the company, explore opportunities, and feel motivated to apply.
Website Flow and Information Structure
Designed the website’s user flow by organizing key content, content strategy, and navigation paths, ensuring users could explore the website easily and understand the message without confusion.
UI Design and Visual Consistency
Designed the page interface, including layouts, typography, imagery, spacing, and visual hierarchy, to create a cohesive experience aligned with the company’s branding.
Figma Prototype and User Testing
Built a functional high-fidelity Figma prototype for user testing. Conducted usability testing to observe how users navigated the website, gathered feedback on clarity and ease of use, and refined the layout, content, and flow to improve the overall user experience.
Webflow Development
Built final webpage in Webflow by turning the design into a functional website, setting up sections, interactions, responsive layouts, and ensuring the design worked across different screen sizes.

Section Overview

Surfacing Workplace Culture
The page opens with a photo carousel showcasing company activities and team events, helping candidates quickly understand Moment Energy’s workplace culture. By highlighting real moments of collaboration and connection, it creates a welcoming, energetic, and people-focused first impression. A navigation bar also allows users to quickly jump to the sections most relevant to them.

Introducing Mission and Values
Moment Energy aimed to attract talent aligned with the company’s mission and values, making it important for candidates to immediately understand these principles upon landing on the careers page.

Simplifying Job Discovery
The job listings section includes a filter system that helps candidates quickly find roles that match their skills and qualifications. Below, the Life at Moment Energy section gives applicants, especially those outside of Vancouver, a glimpse into what it is like to live and work in the city. This helps candidates better understand the work environment, local lifestyle, and community before deciding to apply.

Building Trust Through Statistics and Employee Stories
The “Meet Our Team” section highlights the diversity of our current team, featuring company diversity statistics alongside employee testimonials that share their personal experiences at Moment Energy.

Making Benefits and Growth Opportunities Visible
The “Benefits” section outlines the perks and support offered to employees, showcasing the company’s commitment to well-being, professional growth, and a positive work–life balance.
Design Process Overview
Research Insights
In the research phase, I conducted competitive analysis and user research to identify hiring obstacles, candidate motivations, and information that candidates need while considering job opportunities. These insights were then synthesized into a clear content strategy, defining the page structure, messaging priorities, and information architecture to help candidates quickly understand Moment Energy’s mission, culture, and open roles.
Company mission matters to job seekers
“79% of job seekers consider a company’s mission before applying.” Research shows that candidates want to understand what a company stands for early in their decision-making process. For the careers page, this meant placing Moment Energy’s mission, values, and impact near the top so candidates could quickly assess alignment.
Glassdoor Team, 2019
Practical needs influence job decisions
Top factors for accepting a job include compensation, professional development, and work-life balance. This shows that candidates value both purpose and practical support, so the careers page should highlight Moment Energy’s mission early while making benefits, growth opportunities, and work-life balance easy to find.
LinkedIn, 2025
Credibility needs proof, not just claims
Trust is built through evidence, not just statements. This means including proof points such as team information, partnerships, achievements, project impact, and professional visuals to make the company feel more credible and established.
Kaley & Nielsen, 2019
Culture affects retention
"72% of employees have quit due to toxic workplace relationships, and more than 50% plan to do the same." This shows that a healthy team environment strongly affects employee retention. For the careers page, this supported showcasing good company culture, team dynamics, and real employee experiences to communicate a supportive workplace.

Design Exploration
Exploring multiple layout and interaction concepts through wireframes and visual iterations. Different approaches were tested to balance employer branding, usability, and efficient job discovery while maintaining visual consistency with the company identity.

Prototyping
Developing high-fidelity prototypes to simulate real user interactions. Key flows such as browsing job listings, learning about company culture, and navigating recruitment information were refined for clarity and accessibility.
User Testing and Refinement
To validate the design, I conducted usability testing with 5 participants who represented the target candidate audience, including students, early-career job seekers, and professionals exploring new opportunities. Each session was conducted using a high-fidelity Figma prototype, where participants were asked to complete key tasks such as finding a relevant job posting, learning about Moment Energy’s culture and values, exploring employee benefits, and locating recruitment information.

Reflection
Designing for Employer Branding Goes Beyond Visual Design
A careers page is not only a job listing platform, but also an employer branding experience. Communicating company culture, mission, and employee experience early in the journey plays a major role in attracting the right candidates.
Emotional Connection Impacts User Engagement
Using authentic team photography, employee-focused content, and mission-driven messaging helped create a more human and relatable experience compared to traditional corporate career pages.
